Bükfürdő belong to the one of the most important spas of western Hungary. The special thermal water of Bük with high calcium, magnesium, hydrocarbonate and ferrous content is recommended for rheuatism, postoperative rehabilitation, spondylosis, polyarthritis, pain of joint and muscle, dyscopathy. Also offers a variety of possibilities for relaxation/wellness stays . The Hotel **** is in the small town Bükfürdő, situated only 25km from the austrian border, 57 km from the famous Transdanubian city Sopron. The story of the healing springs in this area began in 1976, when the oil seekers working here were rewarded with a 60 m high water fountain. The healing water with a temperature of 58°C has an enormously high content of calcium, magnesium and fluorine as well as carbonic acid gas. To the best sights in the Buk surroundings belong the castle Szapáry, the nearby situated Kőszeg - one of the prettiest historical towns in Hungary, Velem - climatic center with exceptional and refreshing air, or Szombathely – town inhabited from Roman times with many architectonic sights including the famous temple of the goddess Isis. Medical services include: Balneo- and Hydrotherapy: thermal bath, carbon dioxid bath, sparkling bath, underwater massage, mud pack, traction bath, Mechanotherapy: individual and group medical gymnastic, massage, Electrotherapy: galvanic therapy, sonopuls, Dental department, Rheumatological and interial consultation. The Nils Holgersson Restaurant with terrace serves the guests with tasty dishes coming from hungarian as well as international cuisine.
