The natural spa Poděbrady is one of the most important spas for intensive treatment of postoperative heart conditions in the Czech Republic. It is specialised for treatment of heart diseases, vascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, or disorders of the locomotive apparatus. The town of Poděbrady is located in the lowland at the banks of the river Labe only 50 km far from the capital city of Prague. The local climate is dry, warm with low rainfall. Dominant feature of the city is the castle, in which the Czech emperor Jiří from Poděbrady was born. Already in the 17.century a small spa with extraordinary ferruginous natural springs was built in this area. The spa center is located in a quiet and picturesque surroundings of a beatifull park with good impact on the nervous system of the guests. Poděbrady is well known among tourists for its various cultural, social and sports opportunities. There are many historical and natural sights in the surroundings. Guests can also enjoy tennis, golf, horseback riding, swimming, volleyball, basketball, fishing, surfing and biking. Offered curative procedures include: whirlpool, underwater massage, aromatic bath, gas injections, inhalations, jacuzzi, oxygenotherapy, parafine, drinking procedures, classical massage, reflex massage, or electrotherapy. This hotel*** after reconstruction is located in the town center in a beautifull spa park. It offers 64 beds, 2 single rooms, 28 double rooms and 3 appartments. All rooms have a bathroom, toilet, telephone, refridgerator, and SAT TV. There is a restaurant that serves traditional czech cuisine as well as diet cuisine in the hotel. Dancing evenings are organized regularly. The spa treatment is situated in the building about 30m far from the hotel. The price of accomodation includes accomodation with breakfast. The price of a relaxation stay includes accomodation, full-board, medical entry and leaving examination, and procedures. The price of a curative stay includes accomodation, full-board , medical entry and leaving examination, and 3 procedures per day.
